Well, the new year is upon us, and what better way to bring in 2010 than to go fishing in sunny Stuart, Florida. The sailfish bite is hot, and I am really looking forward to getting back out again to catch some more.
The fish are about eight miles offshore and about 15 miles north of the St. Lucie Inlet. Fishing with rigged baits is still the ticket as the large schools of bait have not come inshore as of yet. Integrity is on the fish in Stuart, Florida.
Here is a short clip of Integrity Charters, landing a sailfish off the coast of Stuart, Florida!!!

Integrity made the trip down to Stuart in a day and a half running!!! The ride was beautiful with following wind and seas. Integrity's first day of playing around (fishing for a couple hours) yielded two nice sails and few dolphin!!! Trolling rigged ballyhoo is the game.
Sailfishing aboard Integrity in Stuart, Florida during the winter means 80 degree days and fish in the box!!!

Okay folks, Thanksgiving week will be our last week fishing in Hilton Head Island, SC until March 2010. Integrity and her crew will be heading south to Stuart, Florida to chase the beautiful winter sailfish, however, lets end the Hilton Head fishing season strong!!!
The fishing in November has been world class off Hilton Head and we can expect that to hold steady on through Thanksgiving week. The bull redfish have been showing in great numbers inshore, and the king mackerel can be caught by running offshore.
Integrity Charters is also pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Dish Network TurboHD to offer over 300 channels to our guests anytime during their trip. Give Capt. Mike a call to book your holiday fishing trip while the fishing is hot!!!

Today Integrity had the pleasure of taking our new friends from Michigan fishing on a four hour sportfishing charter. The rockpile located off the coast of Hilton Head Island, SC was the destination and monster bull reds were the target species. Integrity and her crew were able to get into some nice bull reds today. The one red was pushing 30 lbs.
October nearshore fishing is awesome aboard Integrity in Hilton Head Island, SC as the big fish come nearshore to feed on the bait.

Well, all I can say is that the fishing has been going off for the last two months. We have been fishing everyday all day for the last two months solid, and I could not be any happier with the results.
No matter what our target species, dolphin, king mackerel, cobia, shark, grouper, or snapper, we have been able to put the anglers on the fish.
Out in the gulfstream, the dolphin bite can only be described as epic. Also, while fishing for dolphin, the sailfish have shown up and appeared in photos taken aboard Integrity!
Cobia and King Mackerel were caught in solid numbers throughout the month of June, and should stay strong through July. Now we are looking forward for the dolphin to start their push inshore so they can be caught on our eight hour charters!!!
No matter what the trip, the fishing is excellent so do not hesitate to give us a shout so we can get you and your group out on the fish.
July is booking up fast so please make your reservations as soon as possible. Remember, there is no better way than to spend a day fishing aboard Integrity Charters in Hilton Head Island, SC.

When the weather has allowed us, April has been on awesome month for fishing. This year we have had one of the coldest and relentless winters I can remember since moving to Hilton Head back in 1990. For this reason, the wind seemed to be always blowing, and we had to constantly move our trips around to accommodate the weather. The good news is that every time we have been able to get out, we have crushed the fish!!!
The sheepshead bite has been hot all April long with catches in the double digits on most all of our trips. The cobia are starting to show up, and I believe next week is the week the cobia will be in full swing.
Today we had the pleasure of taking out a group on a ten hour charter and were able to put some great fish in the boat. Today's catch yielded vermillion snapper, black sea bass, and the first king mackeral of the 2009 season. The grouper bite was on as well, however, we were not able to get them up out of the rocks so we ended up missing a few. This was the first day of the year where you could really feel the sun's warmth, and it was like we were actually watching the water temperatures rise as the day went on. We left the area with the fish biting, and I cannot wait to get back there again.
Sportfishing is great aboard Integrity Charters in Hilton Head, South Carolina!!!

This week Integrity was fortunate enough to be able to run back to back trips offshore to target several different species of fish.
On Monday, we were on an eight hour charter and ran out to the Navy Tower R-7. The fishing was a little slow there at first until we hooked into several large amberjacks that gave the anglers all the fight they could handle. Once we put a few amberjacks in the boat, we moved further offshore (40 miles) to fish the snapper banks. The bottom bite was hot hooking into several knothead black sea bass as well as a few vermillion snapper. As the water temperature rises, the king mackeral and cobia should start to move in on the towers, possibly as early as a week.
Tuesday had Integrity hired for a six hour charter which had us targeting sheapshead at one of the offshore reefs. The bite was constant all day long which yielded several sheepshead and black sea bass for a couple dinners for our crew. We kept a few, but released several fish as the bite was so hot we were able to be selective at what we kept for ourselves.
Springtime is finally here so get ready for some awesome action on all of Integrity's trip especially on the six and eight hour trips where the fishing is getting red hot!!!

There was a real nice window forecasted in the weather today, so we rounded up a crew, fueled up the boat, and left at 12am heading for the southledge in search of tuna, wahoo, and dolphin.
When we left the dock, the water temp was 52 degrees, and the air temp was 32 degrees. Upon arrival at the ledge, water temps cooled down from our previous trip in February to about 66 degrees. Lines were in the water at 5:30 am, and we had our first knockdown in about 15 minutes with a nice blackfin tuna. Immediately after, we took another shot and boated another nice tuna.
The bite slowed slightly, but we continued to pick at the tuna all day. We also managed two dolphin (mahi-mahi) for the day.
One aspect that really drove us crazy was the wahoo. We were taking shots, about ten, but they were cutting right through our flourocarbon leaders, however, they would not touch the steel leaders. We believe this is due to the colder water temps out there right now.
It was another great day sportfishing aboard Integrity. We had constant action all day long, and ended up catching about 25 fish in all. Just remember, if you book a charter fishing trip with Integrity, we will get you on the fish!!!
Sat. Feb. 7, 2009
This week Integrity made the long 85 mile run to the southledge to look for some Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo.
When we arrived at the ledge the water temperature was 72 degrees, compare that to the 49 degree temperature when we left the dock and it was paradise. Integrity's crew always loves sportfishing in the gulfstream. We really get to maximize all of the functions of the boat out there. There is just something about running an eleven rod spread and hearing the drag rip off one of the lines that really gets the heart going.
The bite was slow but consistent; we were getting hits about every hour, and managed to land two really nice wahoo, which was plenty of meat for our crew.
Integrity's crew looks forward to the next break in the weather so we can run out again and catch some more of the pelagics that can only be found in the Gulfstream.

Integrity left the dock today on a four hour trip in dense fog. The visibility the entire day was less then 150 feet, however, that would not stop us from getting on the fish.
The day before, my mate and I spent a couple hours digging in the mud in Broad Creek to find enough fiddler crabs to catch these tasty sheepshead. Even though the weather was in the 40's all day, I knew that if we offered them a tasty fiddler crab, the sheepshead could not resist.
Sportfishing on Hilton Head stays strong year round as you can see by reviewing my reports. One just has to know what species to target at the time.
Sheepshead are fierce fighting fish that have black strips running down the side of them. Many locals call them convict fish because they actually look like they are wearing the old striped convict uniforms. The other reason is that they have incredibly bony mouths and strike ever so softly. In other words, sheepshead steal a lot of bait before one can actually land one, however, once they are hooked, the fight is on...Oh yeah, and did I mention they are awesome table fare.
Anyway, we took Integrity out to only 40 feet of water and caught sheepshead and black sea bass throughout the day. We made our way back through the dense fog and we all had a very tasty dinner.
Remember, it does not matter what time of year, Integrity is the boat to put you on the fish in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Wed. Nov. 26, 2008
The weather cooperated this year and allowed Integrity to run off the coast this holiday week. The temperatures at R-7 40 miles off Hilton Head this week were in the mid-60s compared to the lower 50s registered nearshore in Calibogue sound. We knew that with those temperatures the king bite should be strong...we never thought it would be that strong though.
The first fish was caught within 10 minutes of setting up the spread. We marked the spot and continued around our pattern and took another shot within 10 minutes again. When we approached the location of where we caught the first fish, the bottom looked good, and within 100' of the first spot we took another shot. It was another nice king mackeral. Once that happened, I knew we were going to have a good day and were going to catch king mackeral all day long.
Integrity is a great boat for trolling because she has such a large beam you can really spread the baits out and fish a wide variety of lures. We can easily fish 11 poles at one time with the outriggers deployed. Today we fished seven lines with two diving rapala lures on the outriggers.
The fish were stacked up really tight over our numbers and we picked at them all day long. We ended with 7 king, 1 bonito, and a cierro. The ocean at R-7 was calm and blue. Integrity's crew loves to run to the blue water and the fishing was hot.
Fishing is still great late in to November off Hilton Head. If you want to go sportfishing on a great boat with a great crew, give us a call.

Sportfishing on Hilton Head is getting red hot as the temperatures start to cool down. On our 10 and 12 hour trips Integrity is able to run out to some secret live bottom numbers we have and catch nice grouper and snapper. The cool thing about bottom fishing this time of year is that while we are waiting for the big bites we can jig up very tasty vermillion snapper, grey trigger fish, and black seabass. While sportfishing out there, you will almost certaintly get to wrestle with some of our famous "reef donkeys"(amberjacks) that will surely test your endurance.
On Integrity's 8 hour charters, we are running out to the deep artificial reefs where king mackeral are being caught on spoons and ballyhoo.
Even on our short 4 hour trips, sportfishing is still great as we can anchor over some nearshore structure and wrestle with some monster redfish. We have had some caught pushing 35 pounds.
All in all, sportfishing aboard Integrity is an open book here in Hilton Head, whether you want to go deep, or stay in sight of land, the beautiful lowcountry of Hilton Head has something to offer.

My new friends Rick and Ed wanted to land a few sharks before they headed back to New Jersey, and upstate New York respectively. Fortuneately Integrity was able to oblige.
When we arrived on scene, the shrimp boats from Tybee Island were already dragging their nets and had the sharks in a frenzy.
Rick and Ed both made short work of each of their sharks with Rick taking the honors for biggest fish of the day.
The bite stayed consistent throughout the trip, the big shark was caught on a large live mullet. We also had some pretty nice shots on some large pinfish we caught at the marina before heading out.
All in all, it was another great day with our new friends aboard Integrity Charters. Sportfishing is still going off here in Hilton Head and will only get better as the water starts to cool!!
Mon. Jul. 21, 2008
The King Mackeral bite is red hot right now off Hilton Head. Integrity is catching King from the ledges all the way into the nearshore structures.
Mixed in with the king mackeral are plenty of Cobia along with tons of sharks. Check out the photos to see what kind of action we are having!!

Today we had the pleasure of cathing a few sharks followed by watching the Harbor Town fireworks display.
Crushin' at the Hilton Head Tire ReefThu. Jun. 26, 2008
We decided to go out to the Hilton Head Tire Reef today, and when the day was over we sure were glad that we did.
The first knockdown happened about ten minutes into fishing when we hooked into a nine foot tigershark. It took Taylor and Ben over forty minutes to get the shark close enough to the boat for a clean release. While they were fighting the big tiger, our surface bait went screaming off the outrigger, after a ten minute battle, it turned out to be a huge spanish mackeral.
The next hit turned out to be a big Cobia(30lbs), which Brooke masterfully handled, then immediately after, another large Cobia was brought over the side (25lbs). We ended up catching three more Cobia that day, all legal, but cleanly released to fight another day.
Amongst all the chaos, we also had another top bait go off screaming, and yet again, another large spanish. Just as we were about to call it a day, the long rigger started screaming, and the balloon was no longer in sight, after getting the fish turned, the fight ensued, once we got the fish close enough to the boat we saw the bright silver flash a a big ole king mackeral!
One funny thing that happened is we lost our chum bag to a 14 foot tiger shark as we were pulling it in for the day. That bad boy literally inhalled it without thinking twice!
Once again, another beautiful day on the ocean with my new friends from Texas aboard Integrity off beautiful Hilton Head Island.

Today we knew there would be a lot of boats on the wrecks, it being fathers day, and the seas being very calm made for a busy day offshore. Luckily we have a few numbers of our own so we are not forced to fish with the masses.
We had our first knock down about 30 minutes into fishing and pulled up a 30 pound Cobia. It was my buddys Sean's first cobia, and he fought her well. Later that day he ended up catching his second, a 42 pounder. Dave and Malcolm also were able to put the heat to two nice size Cobia, about 35 pounds, as well.
Another great day sportfishing off Hilton Head aboard Integrity. As the water starts to warm up the Kingfishing is going to get red hot!!!
Sun. Jun. 8, 2008
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of taking some friends who wanted to catch some monster Cobia off Hilton Head. Loraine and her husband Dick made the trip up from Stuart, Florida to take a shot at some Cobia and help boost her points for the IWFA women's angler of the year bid.
We went out to the Betsy Ross, on some secret numbers, some of my buddies and I found SCUBA diving, and within minutes of setting up, landed a 46 lb 8 oz Cobia. Loraine masterfully worked the rod and reel and landed the fish quickly.
For the next few hours we continued the good fishing and landed three more Cobia 2 around 35 lbs and one smaller around 12 lbs that we released. We also caught a few sharks and a monster ray in the process.
All in all, a great day to be on the water and Miss Loraine was able to achieve her goal of adding Cobia points to her 2008 records.
Sportfishing is great aboard Integrity in our beautiful waters off Hilton Head Island!

Diving off Hilton Head is not very popular only because not many people know how good it really can be. Today we had the pleasure of taking out a group of divers from Tennesse and Illinois to one of our favorite sites at the Betsy Ross Reef.
I love introducing new divers to our pristine and unspoiled underwater environment off our coast. I always say that no where else in the world will you encounter so many different species of sea life all in one dive than here off Hilton Head.
During the dive we saw all the usual species, cobia, snapper, grouper, spadefish, and of coarse we saw the friendly loggerhead turtles that swim around the wrecks and harrass us as we dive. I have never left from one of our sights feeling unsatisfied!!
For anyone looking for a private dive charter, on a large comfortable boat, Integrity is the boat for you!!

Today Integrity and crew left the dock at Broad Creek Marina on Hilton Head early at 1am on our way to the Southledge which is located approximately 65 miles off the coast of Brunswick, GA.
We had our lines in before the sun was up and took our first shot early right as the sun was coming up over the horizon. This was to be the start of a good day. Everytime we crossed over our numbers, we would double and triple with Tuna. By noon, the crew was worn out from all the reeling so we decided to head back to the hill.
This was a great trip to edge of the Gulfstream where we ended up with 12 tuna and 1 bonita for the day.
